Q + A

General

When is the Wedding?

Our wedding will take place on Saturday, 20 February 2027.

Where is the wedding taking place?

The ceremony will be held at the Disney Wedding Pavilion, with the reception taking place at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

What will the weather be like?

At the end of February, Orlando weather is generally pleasant and mild, with daily highs typically reaching 23-24°C (mid-70s°F), and lows dropping to 11-13°C (low-to-mid 50s°F). It is one of the drier months, though cool mornings and evenings necessitate bringing layers or a light jacket. This year, Florida experienced below freezing temperatures early in February (overnight), some colder days (with highs around 10°C!), and some rain (although not much!)

Are children welcome?

Absolutely! Invited children are welcome at the ceremony and the full reception! We've included some tips for travelling with children on this site.

How long should we spend in Orlando?

We will arrive on Monday 15 February, and depart on Monday 8 March (this includes our honeymoon). We would LOVE to hang out with you in our favourite place, so let us know when you'll be around, and we can make some plans!!

Will there be other events?

We are working to a loose plan of holding a joint Bachelor/ette on Thursday 18 February: The Final Chapter Before Ever After.

Accommodation & Travel

When should we book flights?

We recommend booking flights asap, given rising costs. We've included some advice on our Travel page.

Where should we stay?

There are a wide range of accommodation options both onsite at Walt Disney World and in the surrounding area. We’ve included recommendations on this site to help you choose what works best for you.

Do we need a car?

If you are staying onsite at Walt Disney World, you can use resort buses, monorails or boats. If you would like to travel directly to the Wedding Pavilion, without walking, you could hire a Minnie Van (operated by Lyft) through the My Disney Experience app. If you are staying offsite, you may wish to consider car hire or using Uber/Lyft to get around. You can park for free at the Grand Floridian 11am to 10pm on the Wedding Day itself.

How far is everything from the wedding venue?

The ceremony will take place at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, and the reception at the Grand Floridian Resort, both are located within Walt Disney World. The Wedding Pavilion is a 15 minute walk from Magic Kingdom, or 5 minutes from the Lobby of the Grand Floridian. Travel times will vary depending on where you stay, but we recommend choosing accommodation within a 10–20 minute drive where possible.

The Wedding Day

What is the dress code?

The dress code is typical, formal wedding attire. Hats or fascinators are very welcome, though not required. If you are so drawn to, embrace whimsy!

What time should we arrive?

Further details will be included in the formal invitation, but we recommend allowing plenty of time for travel, particularly if you are staying offsite.

How do we get to the wedding?

Guests staying at Walt Disney World resorts can use Disney transport or taxi services. Guests staying offsite may wish to use Uber/Lyft or arrange private transport.

Final Question

Can we contact you if I have any questions?

Of course! If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out; we’re very happy to help!
